About Dorothy Hamill
Dorothy Hamill is a beloved American Olympian. Her gold medal figure skating performance in 1976 has led to a life of influence. From 1974-1976, Hamill was the U.S. champion. She won World Championships gold in 1974 and was a silver medalist in 1974 and 1975. Following her Olympic triumph, Hamill turned professional and toured for many years. She has written two autobiographies, On and Off the Ice and A Skating Life: My Story. Hamill is a breast cancer survivor. In 2013, she was a part of the cast on the 16th season of Dancing with the Stars. Hamill’s tremendous career is immortalized in both the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame and the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame.
