About Doug Edert
Doug Edert became one of the unlikely stars of the NCAA Tournament in 2022. Edert came off the bench to score 20 points in heavy underdog Saint Peter's win over Kentucky in the first round of March Madness. He added another 13 points in the Peacocks victory over Murray State to reach the Sweet 16. Prior to the tourney run, Edert had averaged just 8.4 points per games in three seasons with the program. He started just seven games in his junior season leading up to the historic run. Edert did have a standout prep career at New Jersey powerhouse Bergen Catholic, scoring over 1,000 career points and winning a state title as a senior.
