About Dustin Pedroia
Dustin Pedroia is considered one of the greatest players in Boston Red Sox history. Prior to his time in the MLB, Pedroia was a standout player at Arizona State University, never batting below .347 and ending his collegiate career with a .384 batting average. Following his graduation from ASU, Pedroia was selected in the second round of the 2004 MLB Draft by the Boston Red Sox, eventually making his MLB debut in 2006. In 2007, Pedroia became the Red Sox’ starting second baseman, and would go on to win the AL Rookie of the Year award as well as helping the team win the 2007 World Series. In 2013, Pedroia was again part of Boston's team that won the Fall Classic. Overall, he was a four-time All-Star, four-time Gold Glove winner, and won the American League MVP in 2008.
