About Edgerrin James
Edgerrin James had a career at the University of Miami that ended with several school records including most 100 yard rushing games with 14 and is third on the schools all-time rushing yards list. James was drafted before the Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams in the 1999 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. In his rookie season he showed the critics why he was drafted so highly by putting up 1,553 rushing yards on his way to the NFL rushing title and the 1999 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. James went on to win the NFL rushing title the following season but tore his ACL in 2003, an injury that many say he never fully recovered from. James was able to rebound however and ran for over 1,000 yards in 5 straight seasons from 2003-2007. James left the Colts in 2006 and still holds the franchise records for most career rushing yards with 9,226 and career rushing touchdowns with 64. James played 4 more seasons for the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks and by the end of his 11 year career he has 4 Pro Bowl appearances along with numerous NFL records, including the fastest person in history to reach 12,000 rushing yards.
