About Evan Lysacek
Evan Lysacek is an American figure skater. Lysacek began skating at eight years old and originally wanted to play hockey. In 1996, Lysacek won the U.S. national title at the juvenile level. The following year, Lysacek won the pewter medal at the Junior Olympics Lysacek won the U.S. Novice title at the 1999 U.S. Championships at 13. During 1999-2000, Lysacek had his international junior debut and competed in the 1999-2000 ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit where he placed seventh. At 14, Lysacek won the Junior title at the 2000 U.S. Championships. During his second season, Lysacek won two silver medals on the Junior Grand Prix circuit. Lysacek dealt with many injuries during the 2001-02 season, which resulted in lost training time. He went to the 2002 Triglav Trophy in April and won the gold medal on the junior level. The following season, Lysacek won two silver medals in the 2002-03 ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit. During the 2003-04 season, Lysacek won both of his Junior Grand Prix events. At age 19, Lysacek made his senior international debut. On August 30, 2014, Lysacek mentioned that his skating career is coming to an end.
