About Frank Haith
Frank Haith is the men’s basketball coach for the University of Tulsa. Haith started his career in 1985 when he became Elon University’s assistant coach. Before becoming a head coach, Haith was an assistant coach for Wake Forest, UNC Wilmington, Texas A&M, Penn State and Texas. In 2004, Haith was hired as the University of Miami’s head coach with the task of leading the Hurricanes into the ACC. During his first season, he took the losing team and guided them to the postseason. Haith reached only one NCAA tournament while coaching Miami. During Haith’s time in Miami, there was an investigation in the Nevin Shapiro scandal that uncovered impropriety in the men’s basketball program. On October 22, 2013, the NCAA gave Haith a five-game ban on the opening of the 13-14 season. In April 2011, Haith accepted the head coach position at the University of Missouri. On April 17, 2014, Haith became the head coach at the Univeristy of Tulsa. In 2012, Haith was awarded AP Big 12 Coach of the Year, Henry Iba Award Coach of the Year and the AP College Basketball Coach of the Year.
