Freddie Freeman is one of the best first basemen in baseball. Originally drafted out of high school by the Atlanta Braves in 2007, Freeman tore through the minor leagues, reaching the MLB in September 2010, recording his first hit in a game against the Florida Marlins. Freeman began the 2011 season as the Braves’ starting first baseman, playing well enough to finish second in NL Rookie of the Year voting behind teammate Craig Kimbrell. For the next few seasons, Freeman would prove to be one of the best players on the Braves, earning his first All-Star nomination in 2013 and then another in 2014.
In the decade-plus spent with Atlanta, Freeman would earn three more All-Star bids and three Silver Slugger Awards. He was named the National League MVP in 2020. Freeman's finest moment would come the following season when the Braves won the World Series. That next offseason, he signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
