About Freddie Kitchens
Freddie Kitchens is an offensive assistant coach for the New York Giants. Prior to arriving in New York, he posted a 6-10 record in his one season as head coach of the Cleveland Browns. Kitchens originally joined the Brown franchise in 2018 as associate head coach and running backs coach. He took over as offensive coordinator midway through the season and the offense flourished with rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield at the helm. Kitchens previously spent 11 seasons on the Arizona Cardinals staff, coaching tight ends, quarterbacks and running backs at one time or another. While on staff, the Cardinals made two NFC Championship Game appearances and played in Super Bowl XLIII. Kitchens got his first NFL coaching opportunity with the Dallas Cowboys in 2006. He first started coaching on the college level and had jobs at Glenville State, LSU, North Texas and Mississippi State. Kitchens was an accomplished quarterback at the University of Alabama. He was a three-year starter for the Crimson Tide and when he left school, he ranked top five in career passing yards, attempts and completions.
