About Gary Reasons
Gary Reasons is a former professional linebacker in the NFL. Reasons attended Northwestern State University where he played linebacker for the football team. Reasons was the first three-time All-American in NCAA Division 1-AA. In his collegiate career, Reasons recorded 394 career tackles, 174 of them came as a senior and 24 came in one game. The New York Giants selected Reasons in the 4th round as the 105th overall pick in the 1984 NFL Draft. With the Giants, Reasons won Super Bowl XXI and Super Bowl XXV. During his time with the Giants Reasons was a part of two key plays; one came late in the season and the other came in the playoffs. Reasons spent his last playing season with the Cincinnati Bengals in 1992. After his NFL career, Reasons served as the head coach of the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgs arena football team in 2004 and 2008. In 1996, Reasons was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
