George Will

Pulitzer Prize winning journalist George Will is considered to be the most powerful journalist in the United States of America.  He began his journalism career in 1972 as the editor for National Review and joined the Washington Post in 1974.  In the mid 70’s he became a contributing editor for Newsweek and a year later he won the Pulitzer for his distinguished commentary on a variety of topics.  In addition to being a syndicated columnist for the Washington Post and an ABC News and Fox News contributor he is also a best-selling author. 

Of the books he has written, two of them have been on baseball.  The first of his best selling baseball books called “Bunt” was released in 1999.  In the book he discusses some of the most passionate moments in baseball history through 70 different uniquely written pieces.  His second book, “A Nice Little Place on the North Side,” was released in 2014 and examined the home field of the Chicago Cubs as it turned 100 years old.  It’s a touching piece that allows the reader to see why Wrigley Field is one of the most sacred sports venues in the world.
