About Giovani dos Santos
Giovani dos Santos has found success everywhere he has played around the world. Dos Santos currently stars for America in Liga MX and the Mexican National Team. Originally, he made a splash with Barcelona, getting his call-up to the senior team in 2007. The following year, dos Santos was transferred to Tottenham Hotspur, but spent the majority of his tenure on loan with other clubs. He went on to become a main fixture in Spain, playing for Mallorca in 2012 and then spending three years with Villarreal.
Dos Santos became more widely known to an American audience when he was sold to the LA Galaxy in 2015. He was an MLS All-Star in 2016 and 2017, scoring 26 goals in 77 appearances with the club.
As an international player, dos Santos has represented Mexico on three World Cup teams. He has also helped them win the CONCACAF Gold Cup four times and he was named MVP of the 2009 tournament. In 2012, dos Santos was a member of the El Tri team that won a gold medal at the Olympics.
