About Herb Dean
Herb Dean is considered the gold standard when it comes to referees in the UFC. Dean has officiated over 5,700 mixed martial arts matches across the globe. He has been involved in some of the biggest fights in UFC history and first gained acclaim in 2004 for his decision in the Frank Mir vs. Tim Silvia contest. On five occasions, he was named Fighters Only Magazine's World MMA Awards Referee of the Year. Dean also has a background as a fighter, appearing in five professional fights and registering a record of 2-3.
