About Jack Arute
Jack Arute is a well-established and diversified sports reporter of his time. Arute’s career launched in the 1970’s, after being born and raised in Connecticut in the 1950’s and ‘60’s. While almost all of his family worked for the family construction company they own, Jack wanted to take a different path and chose to attend the University of Vermont. Still with his family behind him, he was a track announcer in the 1970’s for a regional NASCAR track in Connecticut that his family owns, known as Stafford Motor Speedway. Arute got his name out there during that time and went on to work for ESPN and ABC Sports in the 1980’s. He has also spent time working for MRN, Fox Sports Net, Speedvision, NBCUniversal and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Network. Arute has commentated on everything from college football games to NASCAR races and has spent a considerable amount of time as a pit reporter. He continues to cover the NFL and college sports today for Sirius XM Radio and has also gone on to become the president of his family-owned race track, Stafford Motor Speedway. Arute has established himself as a loyal family member, friend and hard-worker in the industry.
