About Jameel McClain
Jameel McClain achieved his dream of playing in the NFL when he made the Baltimore Ravens 53 man roster as a non-drafted free agent in 2008. It was the accumulation of years of work, beginning on the field at George Washington High School in Philadelphia and taking him to Syracuse University where he recorded 177 tackles, 11 sacks and 21.5 tackles-for-loss during his career with the Orange and earned Second Team All-Big East Honors in 2006. As a rookie in 2008, he broke a Ravens franchise record with two safeties and also recorded two sacks and blocked a punt. Over the next two seasons, he established himself as a consistent defensive force and earned a starting position in 2010. In 2012 he helped lead the Ravens to a Super Bowl championship as one of the leagues most dominant defensive players. He’s since signed a multi-year contract with the New York Giants and remains one of the most consistent and feared linebackers in the league
