About Jarrod Lyle
Jarrod Lyle is a native of Victoria, Australia and began golfing at the age of six. Although he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia at the age of 17 and had to undergo extensive chemotherapy, he overcame his adversity and achieved his dream of becoming a PGA Tour pro. In 2004 he made a miraculous comeback to the sport and turned pro. In 2006 he finished 18th on the Nationwide Tour money list and earned his PGA Tour card for 2007. Since that time he’s seen action on the Nationwide Tour, PGA Tour and PGA Tour Australia. In 2012 he had a recurrence of his previous cancer but just as before, he beat it and made a return to the tour year later. In his first PGA Tour start after making his return he tied for 31st at the 2014 Frys.com Open. He’s a true testament to perseverance and determination in the face of daunting odds. His example has served as inspiration to many who have followed his career.
