About Jarvis Jenkins
Jarvis Jenkins joined the Washington Redskins at defensive end in 2011 after a standout career at Clemson University. With speed to match his 6’4, 315 pound size, the Redskins were happy to add him to their roster in the 2nd round of the 2011 NFL Draft and sign him to a four year, $4.7 million contract including a $1.9 million signing bonus. Although he missed his rookie season due to an injury, he came back in 2012 with a vengeance and played a stellar sophomore season in 2013, recording 47 tackles and two sacks over his first two years. Jenkins is known for his quickness off the ball and strength getting to the quarterback. His determination was tested during his first two years in the NFL, but he has met the challenge and continued to perform despite the adversity.
