About Jason Gildon
Jason Gildon spent all but one of his 11 NFL seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. In that time, he racked up 77 sacks, becoming Pittsburgh's all-time leader. Gildon was selected to three straight Pro Bowls from 2000-02 and was named an All-Pro in 2001. The Steelers originally selected him in the third round of the 1994 NFL Draft. In his second season, Gildon was a special teams ace and Pittsburgh made it to the Super Bowl. He became a full-time starter in 1996. Gildon played a final NFL season in 2004 with the Jacksonville Jaguars before retiring. Since hanging it up, he has remained in the Pittsburgh area and is the head football coach at Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School.
