About Jeff Neubauer
Jeff Neubauer began his career in big time college basketball as a player at La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from 1989 to 1993. After starring for the Explorers for four-years he earned his degree and began his coaching career at The Citadel. Coach Neubauer remained at The Citadel for three seasons before signing on as an assistant coach at the University of Richmond. During his time with the Spiders he established himself as one of the premier young leaders in college basketball on the sidelines. After six seasons in Richmond he was hired to join the coaching staff at the University of West Virginia. While at West Virginia he was an instrumental part of their success and helped develop several future NBA players. After the 2005 season, he earned the head-coaching job at Eastern Kentucky University, where he led the Colonels to unprecedented success. Neubauer spent 11 seasons at EKU, winning 188 games and making two NCAA Tournament Appearances. They posted five 20-win seasons in 2007, 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2015 and won two Ohio Valley Conference championships in 2007 and 2014. After the run at EKU, he became the head coach of the Fordham Rams.
