About Jeff Sanders
The Chicago Bulls selected Jeff Sanders with the 20th overall pick in the first round of the 1989 NBA Draft. Prior to making his NBA dreams come true he played at T.W. Josey High School in Augusta, Georgia and Georgia Southern University. From 1985 to 1989 he shined for the Eagles, earning TAAC Player of the Year honors in consecutive years in 1988 and 1989. Sanders signed with the Bulls in 1989 and went on to play four seasons in the NBA with the Bulls, Charlotte Hornets and Atlanta Hawks as a small forward. At 6’8, 225 he was a highly sought after small forward in professional basketball. Along with his time in the NBA he also played with the Albany Patroons in the USBL, Fort Wayne Fury in the CBA and with Grupo Libro Valladolid, Estudiantes Caja Postal, Teorematour Roma and Baloncesto Salamanca in the Turkish Professional League before retiring in 2002 as a member of the Rockford Lightning in the Continental Basketball Association.
