About Jemele Hill
Jemele Hill is known as one of the boldest personalities in sports media. She is currently a staff writer for The Atlantic and host of the podcast, "Jemele Hill is Unbothered." For nearly 12 years, HIll was one of ESPN's top writers and commentators. She started as a writer for ESPN.com and made regular appearances on network programs, The Sports Reporters, SportsCenter, ESPN First Take, and Outside the Lines. Hill hosted His & Hers and SC6 along with Michael Smith.
In 2018, Hill was named the Journalist of the Year by the National Association of Black Journalists. For her contributions to sports journalism, Hill was awarded the first annual Mackenzie Cup in 2007 and was the runner-up for The Best American Sports Writing award that same year. As a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in journalism, Hill is a proud Spartan and can often be seen rooting on their basketball and football teams
