About Jeremy Pruitt
Jeremy Pruitt is the former head football coach at the University of Tennessee. Prior to accepting the job in 2018, he garnered a reputation as one of the best defensive minds and tenacious recruiters in the game. He previously served as the defensive coordinator at Florida State, Georgia and Alabama. Pruitt's 2017 defense with the Crimson Tide led the nation in scoring defense and helped the team win a national title. His Seminoles 2013 unit also finished tops in scoring defense and keyed a national championship. Pruitt is an Alabama native who played his final two seasons with the Tide and spent a year as a graduate assistant at the school. He then embarked on a high school coaching career that took him to various programs throughout the state. Nick Saban brought Pruitt back to the college game in 2007, naming him Alabama's Director of Player Development.
