About Jerry Robinson
Jerry Robinson played 12 seasons in the National Football League as a linebacker with the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Raiders. Robinson is a California native and played his prep football at Cardinal Newman High School before joining the UCLA Bruins in 1975. During his time at UCLA he earned Consensus AllAmerican honors in three consecutive seasons from 1976 to 1978 and earned a spot in the College Football Hall of Fame in 1996. Robinson was selected in the first round of the 1979 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles and went on to earn PFWA First Team All-Pro honors in 1981 and AP second team All-Pro honors in 1980 and 1981, while also garnering Pro Bowl honors in 1981. Robinson retired in 1991 with 14 career sacks and 12 career interceptions. During his time in the league he was both respected and feared for his defensive instincts, bone crushing hits and leadership ability both on and off the field.
