About Jim Schwartz
Jim Schwartz is the former head coach of the Detroit Lions and current defensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns. Schwartz was the head coach of the Lions for five seasons and made the playoffs once. In 2010, Detroit finished 10-6 and grabbed an NFC wild card spot.Most recently, Schwartz achieved great success in his one season as Buffalo Bills’ defensive coordinator. The defense led the NFL in sacks and finished fourth in both points and yards allowed while notching their first winning record in a decade. Prior to his time with Buffalo and Detroit, Schwartz was the defensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans. He got a start in the NFL as a scout for Bill Belichick with the Browns. Schwartz got his coaching start as a graduate assistant at Maryland and spent four seasons on the college level. He was a standout linebacker at Division III Georgetown and earned a degree in economics at the school.
