About John Kasay
John Kasay played in the NFL for 20 years with the Seattle Seahawks, Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints from 1991 to 2011. During that span he was one of the top placekickers in the league, making 459 career field goals for a total of 1,970 points. His career long was 56 yards. He joined the Seahawks in 1991 as a fourth round selection out of the University of Georgia. Kasay played his prep football at Clarke Central High School in Athens, Georgia and nearly topped his NFL career long in high school with a 54 yarder. In 1996 he earned a Pro Bowl selection and NFL All-Pro honors, and helped the Carolina Panthers to an NFC Championship in 2011. He currently holds every Carolina Panthers franchise kicking record, and is also the all-time points leader in Panthers history. His 42 field goals of over 50 yards ranks second all-time in NFL history, and he is the only player in NFL history to kick four field goals over 46 yards in one game.
