About John Randle
John Randle played in the NFL for 13 seasons as a defensive tackle with the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks from 1990 to 2003. During that span he earned seven Pro Bowl selections, six NFL All-Pro nods and led the NFL in sacks in 1997. Prior to his time in the NFL he starred at Trinity Valley Community College and Texas A&M University. Although he was not selected in the 1990 NFL Draft, he continued to work and found a starting job on the Minnesota Vikings that season. Heâd go on to record 556 total tackles and 137.5 sacks, placing him in the ranks of the best pass rushers of all-time. For his performance on the field he was named the NFL 1990âs All-Decade Team and the Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor. He has also been named one of the 50 Greatest Vikings. Randle was honored with induction into both the College Football Hall of Fame and Pro Football Hall of Fame.
