About John Ross
The Cincinnati Bengals made John Ross the ninth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Ross jumped onto the national radar at the 2017 NFL Combine. The speedster shot up draft boards after breaking Chris Johnson's record by posting a 4.22 40-yard dash time. He displayed the same kind of speed that he exhibited during his four years at the University of Washington. Early in his college career, Ross was known as a dangerous return man and even started three games at cornerback. After two subpar seasons and one campaign lost to injury, Ross broke out as a junior in 2016. That year, he caught 76 passes for 1,122 yards and 17 touchdowns. He was a first-team All-Pac 12 selection and the Associated Press named him Pac-12 Player of the Year. Ross was part of a UW team that won the Pac-12 and made the College Football Playoff.
