About Johni Broome
Johni Broome is a standout forward/center for the Philadelphia 76ers who was selected in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft. Broome was born in Tampa and chose to begin his college career at Morehead State where he played for 2 years before transferring to Auburn.
At Auburn, he flourished and became one of the most dominant players in the country. In Broome's senior campaign with the Tigers, he put up almost 19 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks per game. This effort was good enough to lead Auburn to the Final Four and earn SEC Player of the Year honors. Broome earned honors such as the Karl Malone Award and Pete Newell Award, meaning he was the best power forward, and low-post player in the country.
