About Jon Embree
Jon Embree has coached college and professional football for over two decades. He got his start in coaching after a standout college career at the University of Colorado two years in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams. In 1991 he returned to his alma mater as a volunteer coach and then landed a full-time assistant job at Colorado after a one-year stint at Douglas County High School. Embree served as the tight ends and defensive ends coach at Colorado until being hired at UCLA in 2003. After three seasons with the Bruins he returned to the NFL as the tight ends coach with the Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Redskins. In 2011 he returned again to Colorado as the Buffaloes new head coach. He’s since served as the Cleveland Browns tight end coach in 2013 until being hired in that same position with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2014. Outside of football he enjoys spending time with the with his wife and watching his sons play college football at UCLA and UNLV.
