About Jorge Garbajosa
Jorge Garbajosa joined the Toronto Raptors in 2006 as an undrafted free agent after a stellar career in the Spanish Professional League in which he was named the Spanish Cup MVP in 2005 and European Player of the Year in 2006. Garbajosa began his pro career in 1994 with the TAU Ceramica and played professionally in Spain until joining the Raptors as a 12-year veteran. Upon joining the Raptors he signed a three-year, $12 million contract and earned NBA All-Rookie First Team honors in 2007. Garbojosa played two seasons in the NBA before returning to his roots in Spain. During his international career he has averaged 15.1 points per game and established himself as one of the greatest European players in history. As a member of the Spanish National Team he has led his country to a Gold Medals at the 2006 FIBA World Championship and the 2009 FIBA European Championship, and a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
