About Jose Aldo
Jose Aldo is a Featherweight mixed martial artists in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Aldo is one of the most dangerous fighters in the Octagon, sporting a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and black belt in Luta Livre while also mastering inside striking and submission holds. Nicknamed “Junior”, he began his pro MMA career at age 17 and has posted an unbelievable 25-1 record with 14 wins by knockout. Aldo joined the World Extreme Cage fighting circuit in 2008 and joined the UFC in 2010 when the two companies merged. In 2011 he became one of the youngest UFC champions in history when he captured the Featherweight Championship. He’s since successfully defended his title nine consecutive times over a four year span from 2010 to 2014. His numerous accolades include being named 2009 Fighter of the Year and earning Fight of the Night honors three times. His nine title defenses are the most in UFC Featherweight history. Currently he is ranked as the No. 2 pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
