About Ken Macha
Ken Macha had a successful run coaching and managing in Major League Baseball, most notably with the Oakland A’s. Macha was the bench coach for the A’s return to prominence during three straight postseason trips from 2000-2002. He then took over as manager in Oakland and won another division title the next season. In four seasons, Macha’s A’s teams went 368-280 and he won two AL West titles. He also managed the Milwaukee Brewers for two seasons after. After a ten year playing career in the U.S. and Japan, Macha immediately got his first coaching job with the Montreal Expos. He also coached with the California Angels before managing teams in the Boston Red Sox minor league system. Macha had two first-place finishes with the Double A Trenton Thunder and also managed the Triple A Pawtucket Red Sox.
