Kenny Perry

Kenny Perry has been one of the most successful players of his era. Perry won 14 times on the PGA Tour then proceeded to pick up ten victories on the PGA Champions Tour. Of those senior events, he also won four majors. Throughout his career, he spent over 100 weeks in the top ten of the Official World Golf Ranking. Perry first hit the PGA Tour in the late-1980s and picked up his first win at the 1991 Memorial Tournament. He had several near-misses at major championships throughout his career, including playoff losses at the 1996 PGA Championship and 2009 Masters.

Proving that age is just a number, in 2009, he even reached a career-best of fourth in the world at 48 years old. The previous year, he had been named Kentuckian of the Year by Kentucky Monthly magazine along with fellow golfer J.B. Holmes for helping lead the United States to victory in the Ryder Cup. In addition to his previously mentioned Champions Tour success, he was the 2013 Player of the Year on the tour. Perry is a member of the Kentucky Golf Hall of Fame, Western Kentucky University Hall of Fame, the Western Kentucky University Hall of Distinguished Alumni and the Lipscomb University Athletics Hall of Fame. He has also won the Charles Bartlett Award and the Payne Stewart Award for his charitable contributions to society outside of the game.
