About Kevin Cordes
Kevin Cordes took gold at the 2016 Olympics as a member of the U.S.'s 4x100 individual medley relay team. Cordes qualified for the Olympics after winning the 100m breast and finishing second in the 200m breast at the Olympic Trials. At the Trials, he set an American record in the 100m breast. The previous year, Cordes took home three medals at the World Championships. In 2014, he set records in the 100 and 200-yard breast at the NCAA Championships. Those marked two of the sevenNCAA titles Cordes won over his collegiate career at Arizona. Cordes became just the third man to win the 100y breast all four years of college. He was the 2013 and 2014 NCAA Swimmer of the Year.
