Larry Johnson

Larry Johnson was known for being a big game player throughout his entire career.  He won an NCAA Championship at UNLV and was also the Naismith and Wooden Award winner in his final collegiate season.  After being the first overall pick of the 1991 NBA Draft, Johnson spent the first five seasons of his career with the Charlotte Hornets.  Two years later, he was voted as a starter for the first of his two All-Star appearances.  That season, Johnson averaged a career-best 22.1 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.  He was also named to the All-NBA second team.  Johnson would go on to spend five years with the New York Knicks as well.  He made six trips to the postseason and often as a key contributor.  Johnson's four-point play in the waning minutes of game three of the 1999 Eastern Conference Finals would key a win over the Indiana Pacers and go down as one of the greatest plays in Knicks history.  Overall, he averaged 11.5 points per game during New York's run to the 1999 NBA Finals.  Johnson still currently works with the Knicks as a Basketball and Business Operations Representative.
