About Lauren Cox
Lauren Cox is a star for the WNBA's Indiana Fever. The Fever originally selected Cox with the third overall pick of the 2020 WNBA Draft out of Baylor. She led the Bears to the NCAA Championship as a junior and was named Big 12 Player of the Year in her final season. Off the court, Cox advocates for people with diabetes. She is a type 1 diabetic and wears an insulin pump on the court. Cox's sister, Whitney, is also a diagnosed-type 1 diabetic and they played against each other in college in a benefit game for the disease. The sisters were both awarded the 2020 Pat Summit Most Courageous Award for their work with diabetes in the community.
