Lee Westwood

Lee Westwood has won professional golf tournaments on every continent since turning pro in 1993. A native of Nottinghamshire, England, Westwood began playing golf at the age of 13, and won the Peter McEvoy Trophy in 1990. Two years later he captured the Lagonda Trophy and then captured the 1993 British Youths Championship. His first professional win came in 1996 at the Volvo Scandinavian Masters on the European Tour. Since that time he has won 23 tournaments on the European Tour, which ranks him 8th all-time. His first win in the PGA Tour came two years later at the 1998 Freeport-McDermott Classic, where he captured the title with an impressive 15 under par performance. In 2000 he won seven tournaments on the European Tour, which earned him the No. 1 ranking on the European Order of Merit. He won his second European Tour Order of Merit in 2009 and is a three time European Tour Golfer of the Year, having earned that title in 1998, 2000 and 2009. Thus far in his career he has won 41 tournaments on the PGA Tour, European Tour, Japan Golf Tour, Asian Tour, Sunshine Tour and PGA Tour of Australasia, and earned a career high No. 1 Official World Golf Ranking in 2010.
