About Leigh Hennessy
Leigh Hennessy is one of the best trampolinists in United States history, winning two World Championships during her time as a pro and setting a record for most United States National Championships won in individual trampoline, synchronized trampoline, and double mini-trampoline. After finishing her professional career she founded a trampoline academy in Lafayette, Louisiana and used her skills and knowledge to become a coach for the United States National Team. She has also pursued a successful career in stunt work in Hollywood, appearing in such hit films as GI Jane and The Guardian. For her work on the silver screen she was nominated for the 2007 Taurus World Stunt Award. She currently coordinates stunts and coaches stunt performers in Hollywood. Hennessy earned her masters degree in communication at the University of Louisiana Lafayette and put that degree to work as an aide for Congressman Jimmy Hayes in the nations capital. In 2007 she earned induction into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame, and has also been inducted into the World Acrobatics Society Legends Hall of Fame. For her contributions to the trampoline world she was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Trampoline Federation.
