About Lynn Jennings
Not many American long-distance runners have matched the resume of Lynn Jennings. When she captured bronze in the 10,000 meters at the 1992 Olympics, Jennings was the first U.S. woman to capture a long-distance medal. She was a nine-time national cross country champion and a three-time winner of the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. In 2006, she was inducted into the USA Track and Field Hall of Fame. Jennings went to Bromfield School in Harvard, Massachusetts and ran collegiately at Princeton. She currently resides in Portland, Oregon and is a coach at Craftsbury Running Camp in Vermont. Her years of training helped her survive an acute bilateral pulmonary embolism in 2014.
