About Marc Leishman
Marc Leishman is an Australian golfer who was the 2009 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year. Three top ten finishes netted Leishman the reward as he finished the season 53rd on the money list. He is a one-time winner on the PGA Tour at the 2012 Travelers Championship. In that tournament, Leishman shot a final round 62 to rally from six strokes down to win. For his career, he has two top five major finishes as well. Leishman started his professional golf career on the PGA Tour of Australasia, won five times in 2006, and topped the order of merit. That led to a two year run on the Nationwide Tour and victory at the WNB Golf Classic. Leishman is originally from Warrnambool, Victoria and currently resides in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 2013, he competed for Australia at the Presidents Cup. Fellow Aussie Greg Norman was an inspiration, but Leishman also modeled his game after Ernie Els.
