About Mark Henry
As an American powerlifter, Olympic weightlifter, strongman and professional wrestler, Mark Henry’s accomplishments are true to his size. Currently signed to the WWE, which he has been a member of since his professional debut in 1996, Henry stands 6’4” with a weight billed at 399 pounds. Born in 1971 in Silsbee, Texas, he was trained by Leo Burke, the Hart wrestling family, and Lewis Hotchin pre and post-career. Henry is a two-time Olympian, in 1992 and 1996, in which he earned a Silver, Gold, and Bronze medal. Henry admittedly eats up to 5,000 calories a day and is known as the heaviest ever weightlifter and second heaviest athlete in the Olympic Games. Henry holds a variety of records and titles and is known for a finishing move classified as the World’s Strongest Slam.
