About Mark Zona
Mark Zona is a well-known angler and bass fishing tournament competitor. As a native of Sturgis, Missouri, Zona’s career in the fishing industry came as no surprise to all those who knew him as he fished his first bass tournament at the young age of nine years old. Zona is very experienced in the industry, as he has held jobs relating to essentially every aspect the sport of bass fishing. Some of these job titles include tournament director, guide, a manufacturer’s representative and even a semi-professional angler. In addition, Zona makes a living as a feature reporter with ESPN Outdoors, appearing as a host on several of the network’s shows. Since 1999, Zona has fished 19 events and to date, his largest catch consists of 18 pounds 15 ounces. Zona continues to make a name for himself in the industry with his bubbling personality reaching all those who witness it through the ESPN Outdoors network.
