About Matt Fitzpatrick
Matt Fitzpatrick has had great success in his young career. The native of Sheffield, England originally came over to the U.S. to play golf at Northwestern University. In 2013, he picked up some hardware stateside, winning the U.S. Amateur. Following the 2014 U.S. Open he turned pro and went through qualifying school to get his card onto the European Tour in 2015. That year, Fitzpatrick picked up his first professional victory at the British Masters. The win put him inside the Top 100 on the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time. His best finish at a major championship to date was a tie for seventh at the 2016 Masters that was won by his fellow countryman Danny Willett.
