About Matt McQuillan
Matt McQuillan is a professional golfer. McQuillan’s parents are members of the Garrison Golf and Curling Club, which is where McQuillan was introduced to golf in 1991. When he was 15 years old, McQuillan won the Garrison Men’s Open and the Garrison Men’s Club Championship. He won the Club Championship again in 1998 and 1999. McQuillan attended Oklahoma State University on a golf scholarship beginning in the fall of 2000. McQuillan then transferred to the University of Georgia. McQuillan placed second in the 2000 Ontario Men’s Amateur Championship. McQuillan turned professional in 2003 and he finished 7th in the 2003 Spring qualifying tournament for the Canadian Tour. McQuillan finished runner-up at 2006 Canadian Tour Championship. In the fall of 2010, McQuillan entered the PGA Tour qualifying school. McQuillan made his PGA Tour debut in 2011 at the Sony Open in Hawaii. In 2003, McQuillan won the Telus Edmonton Open and in 2008, he won the Cataraqui Pro-Am.
