About Melvin Gordon
Melvin Gordon is considered one of the top running backs in football and is a star for the Denver Broncos. Gordon spent the first five seasons of his career with the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers after being the 15th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. He established himself with four seasons of eight or more rushing touchdowns. Gordon was also named to the Pro Bowl in 2016 and 2018.
Not many running backs accomplished more in college than Gordon. Gordon is second all-time on the FBS rushing charts with 2,587 career yards. He also held the single-game rushing record for one week in 2014 when he scampered for 408 yards against Nebraska. In 2014, Gordon was a unanimous All-American and won the Doak Walker Award as the best running back in the country. Afer running for an Outback Bowl record 251 yards in his final collegiate game, Gordon won MVP honors. The Badgers went to two Big 10 Championship Games during his tenure and won the league his sophomore season. As a high school senior in Wisconsin, Gordon ran for 2,009 yards and 38 touchdowns on the way to Gatorade Player of the Year honors.
