About Michael Johnson NFL
Michael Johnson is a defensive end and devastating pass rusher for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Johnson signed a five-year, $43.98 million deal with the Bucs in 2014 after five productive seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. The 2012 season was his true breakout. Johnson had 11.5 sacks and the Bengals made the second of three straight trips to the playoffs with him. In his rookie season, Cincinnati won the NFC North, just their second division title since 1990. Johnson slipped to the third round in the 2009 NFL Draft. At Georgia Tech, he was first-team All-American and All-ACC in 2008. Johnson’s nine sacks ranked third in the ACC. The Selma, Alabama native went to Dallas County High School where he played both football and basketball. His charity, the MJ93 Fund, inspires children in every city he’s lived in to reach their potential and live healthy lives.
