About Michael Misa
Michael Misa is a star forward for the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks originally selected him with the second overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.
The Saginaw Spirit chose Misa as their first overall pick during the 2022 OHL Priority Selection. During his rookie season (2022–23) Misa scored 22 goals and accumulated 56 points across 45 games while winning the Emms Family Award as the league's top first-year player and earning a spot on the CHL All-Rookie Team.
During the 2024–25 season Misa achieved the OHL point lead with 134 points (62 goals, 72 assists) across 65 games which represented the league's highest total since Patrick Kane in 2007. The OHL honored Misa with three major awards during the 2024–25 season: the Red Tilson Trophy for Most Outstanding Player and the Eddie Powers Trophy for leading scorer and the Bobby Smith Trophy for top scholastic player.
Misa has played for Canada at different levels by winning gold at the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup while finishing fourth at the 2022 U17 World Hockey Challenge. The 2024 USA Prospects Challenge saw Team CHL achieve success because of Misa's contributions.
The San Jose Sharks chose Misa as their second overall pick during the 2025 NHL Draft which confirmed his position as a top prospect in the league.
