About Mike Sullivan
Mike Sullivan is the head coach of the New York Rangers who previously had great success with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He guided the Penguins to back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 2016 and 2017. Sullivan joined the franchise as head coach in 2015 after starting the year with the AHL's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. He became a first-time NHL head coach in 2003 with the Boston Bruins. Sullivan spent two years in Boston and led them to the playoffs once. He has been an assistant coach for the Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Rangers, Vancouver Canucks and Chicago Blackhawks. Sullivan was also an assistant coach for U.S. Hockey at the 2006 Olympics. Sullivan had an 11-year playing career and got his first coaching opportunity in 2002 as the head coach of the Providence Bruins.
