About Mike Swider
Mike Swider is a college football coach. Swider’s coaching career began in 1978 when he coached at Westminster Schools of Atlanta. In his first season at Westminster, Swider and the team won the Class AAA State Title. They also made the state playoffs in three other seasons while under Swider. His next coaching job came in 1985 when he became the assistant coach at Wheaton College. He remained the assistant coach until 1996 when he was promoted to head coach. Since he came to the program in 1996, Swider has a 79% winning percentage. Under Swider, Wheaton has won five conference titles and they have made 6 appearances in the NCAA Division III National Football Championship. In 2012, Wheaton finished with an 8-2 record and won their first CCIW title since 2006. Swider also spends his time as a motivational speaker to multiple groups and he is also the director for the Bishop-Dullaghan summer football camps.
