About Missy Coombes
Missy Coombes is one of the many female trailblazers that have led to greater inclusivity in sports. Coombes spent three years as a professional baseball player for the Colorado Silver Bullets. She was on a team made up exclusively of women, the only to play their entire schedule against men. Coombes was the top pitcher on the team, leading the squad in almost every pitching category. Prior to becoming a baseball player, Coombes was an All-American in softball at Cal State Fullerton. She also spent time as a member of the U.S. Women's National Baseball Team. Coombes is currently a teacher and educator and has a master's in educational administration and leadership from Cal State LA.
