About Mitch Gaylord
Mitch Gaylord is a renowned gymnast. He began to train in gymnastics at a young age and over time he continued to improve his skills. That hard work paid off when he made his first U.S. National team in 1980, a spot he continued to hold for the next five years. It was during this time that Mitch was attending UCLA and competing in their gymnastics program where he won the All-Around in the 1983 and 1984 USA Gymnastics National Championships as well as the 1984 NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championship. Mitch's greatest glory came when he competed in the 1984 Olympic Games and led the U.S. team to a gold medal and became the first American gymnast to score a perfect 10.00 in the games. For his contributions to the sport, he has been named the seventh best U.S. gymnast of all time in route to being inducted into the US Olympic Hall of Fame.
